Rothenburg's medieval romance

To catch up with Rothenburg's medieval city festival on the first weekend of September each year, the most desired place to visit was arranged at the end of my trip to Germany last year. It takes about two hours to drive to Rothenburg, and the navigation should directly select the largest parking lot outside the city, as the smaller ones have limited spaces. Initially, we went to a smaller one and it was hard to find a spot. After much difficulty, I found a spot for my husband, but then a car recklessly backed into the spot, forcing me, who was standing there, to step out. Considering that it was my habit of holding a spot that I hadn't yet shed as a Chinese, I felt in the wrong and gave up. Walking along the city wall, one can see the scenery outside the city, get a panoramic view of the bustling medieval city inside, and enjoy the architectural beauty. There are many donation records on the city wall, and I saw a lot of Japanese names. People who came to the medieval festival were all in theme, wearing festive costumes, and we felt somewhat out of place. Looking at those beautiful foreign girls, I thought about bringing my daughter next year to dress her up and participate. I didn't want my husband to drive at night, but to see the fireworks in the evening, we stayed. It proved to be very worthwhile. Professional photographers, guided by locals, had been waiting at the best shooting spots early on, and we hitched a ride. Watching the fireworks soar, feeling the breath of the people around me, the world was silent at that moment, and the sense of ceremony was intense. Having visited several German cities, they are somewhat similar, but I would probably visit Rothenburg again.
