Lantern Merah

Lantern Merah is a beacon tower that is painted red and equipped with a beacon that emits red light. There is also another tower at the entrance to the port of Pulau Baai, namely Lantern Hijau, a tower that is painted red and equipped with a green beacon. "Red Lantern is more popular because of its position jutting into the sea so that the view of the open sea can be entered in the camera," said Wawan, one of the visitors to the location. While one other ligh tower stands parallel to the expanse of pine trees which is considered to reduce the elements of the beach and the high seas. So far, the Red Lantern complex is known as a fishing spot that is crowded with anglers, especially on weekends. "Now it's not only anglers, teenagers and young people who want to go to Lentera Merah to take pictures are more crowded so that every weekend it will be crowded," said Ujang, a resident who voluntarily supervises visitor vehicles and collects Rp. 1000 per vehicle. Meanwhile, the administrator of the Bengkulu Travel Association (Asita), Krishna Gamawan, is concerned that the crowds at Lentera Merah will interfere with the function of the beacon tower. #lantern #beach

We flew from Doi Muang to Jakarta airport in Indonesia, building 3. The ticket and itinerary didn't say which building to check in for the connecting flight to Bengkulu province. Luckily, there were locals who helped us by taking a (free) bus from building 1 to building 3. The plane ticket had to be changed again. It was a trip that we thought we would miss. When someone picked us up at Bengkulu airport, they took us on a full day of sightseeing.
