Another small church built on the ruins of a mosque

Andalucia Tour ~ Granada (Region) The church was built on the site where the 16th-century Marzuela suburban mosque once stood. Built in the Mudejar style, it has three naves with a choir at the bottom. The central nave is covered with a Mudejar coffered ceiling and the side aisles are ribbed. The central nave is separated from the main church by pointed transepts on Gothic pilasters. The main chapel is covered with a Mudejar-style octagonal coffered ceiling, richly decorated with polychrome carved cherubs and supported by shell-shaped pendants. #2024TravelReview #SpainTravel #Andalucia
