Famous Batam kueh lapis

One of the things that tourists tend to buy back as souvenirs are their layered cakes, or better known as kueh lapis! This cake is known to be painstakingly tedious to make and as a result, can be quite expensive. There are quite a number of stalls selling it at the ferry terminal and some have pretty nice packaging. I haven’t tried all the brands of kueh lapis but out of the ones I have so far, I’d recommend the stall that’s located right in the centre of the main walkway. Prices are fairly okay too!
