Barcelona Must-See: Parc Gรผell ๐Ÿ’—

#TravelGuide Park Gรผell is really large, but if you're diligent, it takes about half a day to see everything. โ—๏ธ It spreads widely, from the flatlands to the ridges, so be prepared for some hiking. (Of course, you can just see the flatlands. There wasn't as much to see up the mountain as I thought, but I did get a #panoramic view of Barcelona, โ€‹โ€‹right?) There wasn't just one entrance/exit, but there were several along the way up the mountain. There were staff on duty. Perhaps someone had entered without a ticket before, taking a different route. If you enter through the main entrance and go immediately to the left, you'll find a cafeteria. It seemed like people stopped by for a break on their way out after seeing everything. :) Gaudi's architectural style is characterized by curved structures and colorful tiles applied to the surface, but Park Gรผell also had sections that used natural stones laid out in free-form shapes. It seemed designed to blend in well with the surroundings, being eco-friendly. Haha. What's unique about this area is that the columns aren't upright, but rather tilt inward, forming an arch! Upon reaching the central staircase, you'll see a building designed to channel water flowing from the mountainside through a lizard's mouth. The tiles are meticulously crafted, each with a different size and color for each purpose. The craftsmanship is truly remarkable. Upon reaching the very top, you'll find an open space formed by the ceiling and columns. Gaudรญ, who loves curves, chose thick, straight columns here. Why? My guess is that they're intended to provide visual variation, as the curves are so prevalent, and to safely support the rooftop above. ๐Ÿค” However, to avoid a sense of isolation, the circular pattern on the ceiling is a nice touch. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Park Gรผell is truly impressive in person. It's probably the #1 must-visit #attraction in Barcelona! ๐Ÿ˜™ #BarcelonaTravel #ParkGรผell
