๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธBarcelona, โ€‹โ€‹Spain Free Travel Day 1 (1)

๐Ÿ“Spots to Visit - #BarcelonaTravelItinerary! Day 1 - Casa Milร  - Casa Batllรณ - La Rambla - ZARA Main Store - La Plaรงa de Catalunya - Mercat de la Boqueria - Plaรงa Reial - Port Vell / Rambla de Mar ๐Ÿ“Casa Milร  It's no exaggeration to say that #Barcelona is a place to visit for #Gaudi's architecture. Throughout the city, the brilliant masterpieces of the past are well preserved, allowing you to delve into Gaudi's unique architectural world. The wealthy families who commissioned Gaudi to design their homes have opened their properties to the public, allowing future generations to experience the curvaceous design and the lifestyle of the past. :) #Casa means home! Since I live in both Casa Milร  and Casa Batllรณ, I decided to visit just one. Haha. I chose the more famous Casa Batllรณ :) Instead, I had brunch on the first floor of Casa Milร  to avoid disappointment. :) This #brunch restaurant was seriously so beautiful. ใ… ใ…  The wavy pattern on the ceiling especially added a softness and beauty to the space. You don't need a fancy meal, so I highly recommend visiting!! ๐Ÿ“Casa Batllรณ Make sure to book in advance! I always go to Google Maps and book tickets on the official website. College students get a #studentdiscount, haha! You can also schedule a time in advance, which reduces wait times. Be sure to pick up an #audioguide at the entrance. :) The interior walls of Gaudรญ's house have a slightly reptilian, scaly(?) appearance. The doors are thicker than they appear, so not only did they have to be cut, but they also had to be calculated so the top and side hinges fit snugly together. Building them must have been a challenge. Each floor and room has a different concept, making it fun to explore. These are the stairs leading up from the hall, and the walls are decorated with ceramic tiles. The colors are beautiful, and the place itself feels a bit like a maze. Haha. There's a #rooftopcafe on the rooftop. Haha. Since the sun is hot, everyone seems to be ordering drinks and relaxing under the parasols. Since it's on the rooftop, you can get a close look at the rooftop decorations on top of Casa Batllรณ. They're cute, almost like #toys. This is actually a #observation deck with a great atmosphere, so if you're in Casa Batllรณ, you absolutely have to climb the stairs, even if they're difficult. Haha. The souvenir shop seems quite large. It was worth a visit. :) ๐Ÿ“Faborit Salad Restaurant We stopped by #Faborit for a light lunch! They serve light salads, but you have to pass a certain "Casa" to get inside. ๐Ÿ‘€ The kitchen interior and terrace seating are nice, so if you're looking for a light meal, this is a great place. Haha. Seems like a local favorite. I ordered a salmon wrap and a papaya juice. And the fun part was the oil bar! Spain is famous for its olive oil, and there are so many different types (plus salt). Haha. My favorite was the ๐Ÿงšโ™€๏ธ lemon-flavored olive oil ๐Ÿงšโ—๏ธ This was truly revolutionary. ใ… ใ…  For someone who loves refreshing flavors, it was a favorite. So, from then on, I went out of my way to get a small #lemon-flavored olive oil too. ๐Ÿ˜† Of course, I expected it to be bland, but the salmon was quite salty... That's right, Barcelona is known for its incredibly salty food. ๏ธ Everything about Barcelona is great, but finding food that wasn't overly salty was a bit of a struggle. So, honestly, except for one famous restaurant, I intentionally went to mostly Asian restaurants. ใ… ใ…  ๐Ÿ“La Rambla ~ La Plaรงa de Catalunya #LaRambla is the tree-lined street that stretches from Plaรงa Catalunya to the coast where the Columbus statue is! The marble floors and clean streets make it one of my favorite places in Barcelona๐Ÿค H&M, Lego Store, Zara, and other fashion brands line both sides of the square. With everything gathered together, it's a great place for shopping. I heard the #Zara flagship store is the world's largest, located in Barcelona, โ€‹โ€‹so I definitely wanted to visit. Not only was the selection diverse, but the interior felt like a department store. :) From Boqueria Market onward, in the next post๐Ÿ˜Š #TravelItinerary

Casa Batllรณ

[Casa Batllรณ & Casa Mila like a pastry shop] Photos 1-4 ๐Ÿ“Casa Batllรณ The first course of the Gaudi tour is Casa Bayot. Its exterior is so unique that you'll stop and look at it even if you don't know it.๐Ÿ’› The colorful tiles and the balcony are made of bone-shaped pillars, so it feels similar to the inside of the Sagrada Familia Cathedral. The tiles are made by reassembling broken tiles, which makes it look even more unique. And since Gaudi designed the building with the ocean as a motif, it somehow feels refreshing and reminds me of the Little Mermaid. ๐Ÿงœ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ The interior is especially pretty, but I didn't go in because I wondered if I should pay the entrance fee. I regretted it later after seeing the photos..๐Ÿฅฒ The interior is pretty, so I definitely recommend you go in and see it!! 5-7 photos ๐Ÿ“Casa Mila Casa Mila is also a house that Antonio Gaudi started building in 1905 at the request of the Mila couple, who were famous for being very wealthy in Barcelona, โ€‹โ€‹and it is said that it was completed in 5 years. At first, there was a negative reaction from Barcelona citizens, but as time passed, it is said that he approached the architecture from a sculptural perspective and built it in a unique way that had never been done before. It is said that it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ***tmi) Casa, Casa means "house" in Spanish๐Ÿ˜€ #Barcelona travel #Spain travel #Europe travel #Barcelona #Spain #Gaudi tour #Casa Mila #Casa Batllรณ #Casa Mila #Casa Batllรณ #barcelona #spain #walking travel #Life shot spot #Life travel destination #City travel
