Amazing Hike Up Mount Ijen

Had an incredible trek up Mount Ijen in Indonesia. It was one of the most challenging but rewarding experiences of my life. Here are some highlights: - We started our hike at around midnight so we could catch the sunrise at the summit. It was pitch dark and cold, but we had flashlights and warm clothes. - The trail was steep, and I had to pull to the side a few times and catch my breathing. Luckily, there were pit stops along the way. - Our local tour guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and he helped us navigate the terrain and avoid the crowds. He also told us stories and shared info along the way. - The views of the acid lake were stunning. It was a bright turquoise color, contrasted by the dark volcanic rocks. - The blue fire was hard to see behind the smoke, but we managed to catch a glimpse of it. It was a surreal sight. We also saw the sulfur miners working in the harsh conditions, carrying heavy loads of yellow rocks. If you ever get a chance to visit Mount Ijen, I highly recommend it.
