Phra Pairi Pinat

Phra Pairi Pinat is the name of the Buddha statue in the pavilion on the second floor on the north side of the large pagoda of Wat Bowonniwet Vihara in 1848. Someone brought it to present to King Mongkut (Rama IV) who was ordained at that time. Phra Pairi Pinat performed miracles to enemies and enemies who plotted against King Mongkut. They all met with misfortune and were defeated by their own powers. He therefore gave the name of this important Buddha statue "Phra Pairi Pinat".
