The oldest temple in Lat Phrao District

Wat Lat Phrao was built around 1870 as a monastery. Later in 1874, the villagers agreed with the monks that the temple should be moved to Wang Lat Phrao (the word “Wang” means a large pond larger than a pond) because the original location was on high ground, which was inconvenient for monks and novices to use water. It was moved closer to a water source and was at the intersection of Khlong Song Kratiam and Khlong Lat Phrao. It is a large temple with a convenient parking lot. In addition, there are many activities such as offering alms to monks and releasing fish because this place is near the canal. The temple is open from morning until 10 pm every day.
