Visit and Pay Respects to Luang Pho Narong at Wat Mongkhon Woraram

🏘 Wat Mongkhon Woraram was originally established in 1867 (B.E. 2410) and was formerly known as Wat Makluea, named after the ebony trees in the area. In 1954 (B.E. 2497), the temple was renamed Wat Mongkhon Woraram and was granted the Wisungkhama Sima (a boundary for ordination halls) in 1983 (B.E. 2526). Key highlights and attractions within the temple include: 🏠 The old ordination hall (ubosot), which has been dismantled. The eastern front of the hall indicates the year 1917 (B.E. 2460), marking its second renovation. The new ordination hall features intricately carved wooden doors and windows depicting the life of the Buddha. Inside, the principal Buddha image is in the Maravijaya posture. ⛺ The Vihara of Phra Khru Mongkhon Wutthikhun (Luang Pho Narong), a former abbot of the temple.
