In early 2025, we had the opportunity to visit the Grand Palace and pay homage to the guardian Buddha of Thailand, the Emerald Buddha or what we call "the Emerald Buddha" at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Satsadaram or Wat Phra Kaew, which is a place we haven't been to for a long time. The first thing that has changed is the entrance to the temple. Now you have to go underground on the Sanam Luang side. There will be signs and officers, so don't be afraid of getting lost. Once you enter the temple, you will see a checkpoint. Thais can enter for free if you show your ID card. Once you enter the temple, you will see the Ubosot, which enshrines the Emerald Buddha. Photography is prohibited inside. Walk a little further and you will see the group of Phra Maha Monthian and various throne halls. They are still as beautiful and magnificent as ever.
