Visit Wat Thong Thammachat Worawihan

Cycle along the old town route and stop by Wat Thong Thammachat Worawihan. The temple is clean and tidy, with adorable cats coming out to greet visitors. Inside the temple, there are ancient paintings depicting the battle between the Buddha, the evil Mara, and the Earth Goddess squeezing her hair to wash away the evil. Some of the paintings have been damaged over time, but the remaining ones are still beautiful and impressive. Originally, Wat Thong Thammachat Worawihan was established as a community temple. It is unknown when and by whom it was built. It is a local temple that is not frequently visited by tourists, allowing visitors to truly experience the essence of a local temple.
