By presenting carefully selected Thai murals The artist does not only create art but also explores the concept of "simulation" or Simulacra in historical dimensions and virtual space by presenting questions on the interpretation of truth and history in the current world. The artworks on display are inspired by the artist's interaction with the 2nd floor space of TARS UNILIMITED called RATS. This space used to be a place where workers used to live. The artist connects the relationship between the walls of those spaces with the existence of the people who used them. The memories and traces hidden in the walls become an exploration of the fictitious past that has been recorded. In terms of theory, Simulacra is a philosophical and cultural theory concept related to the imitation or simulation of reality in a way that deviates from the original truth. This term is often used to describe in the context of media, culture, and society, especially in the work of thinkers such as French philosopher Jean Baudrillard. He proposed that in the modern world, simulation has replaced reality, blurring the line between reality and simulation. He created the concept of "hyperreality", which refers to a situation where simulation has become superior to the original reality. People can no longer distinguish between reality and simulation. This exhibition explores this idea through works that delve into the interpretation of history and reality. The relationship between fictional history and reality is clearly presented in this exhibition.
