Wat Trithotsathep Worawihan, Bangkok 🙏The new Ubosot is 19 meters wide and 21 meters long. It is a Thai-style building with three gables, made of brick and mortar, decorated with marble throughout. The roof is tiled, decorated with gables, raka leaves, and hongs. There is a Phra Phuttha Nawarat Bophit with a lap width of 61.9 inches and a height of 89 inches, which is the principal Buddha image of the new Ubosot. The mural paintings inside the Ubosot depict the life of the Buddha, which was directed and designed by Ajarn Chakrapan Posayakrit, a national artist in the field of visual arts (painting). 🪷The Chedi is a large Sri Lankan-style chedi surrounded by four smaller chedis, located behind the Ubosot. It is decorated with gold mosaics throughout.
