#timetotravel This temple is I believe the most important and the oldest Hindu temple in Bangkok which is dedicated to the Goddess Mariamman- the diety of rain and fertility. The entire temple isn't that big but it attracts devoteed and curious tourists alike to see this very attractive and colorful temple. It was buily in 1879 by Vaithi Padayatchi, a Tamil Hindu immigrant. Visitors are required to dress appropriately. Entrance is free of charge.
