Wat Nang Ratchaworawihan, an ancient temple from the Ayutthaya period

Wat Nang Ratchaworawihan is an old temple on the banks of Khlong Dan. It has a history of being built since the Ayutthaya period during the reign of King Thaisa. It then became a deserted temple for over 200 years until the Rattanakosin era when the Queen Mother of King Rama III reestablished the temple. The principal Buddha image in the ordination hall has a sign that says Luang Pho Su Kho. We were glad that we came to pay homage to the Buddha with such an auspicious name.
