Metal Castle, Ratchanatdaram Temple

Another beautiful temple that we can’t miss is Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan. It is located near Mahakan Fort, next to Phlap Phla Maha Chetsada Bodin Restaurant, at the foot of Phan Fa Lilat Bridge, and near Wat Thepthidaram. Most of the architecture in Wat Ratchanatdaram is in the Thai style. The ordination hall has a gable and raka, and the front is lacquered and gilded with beautiful glass. The metal castle was built to replace the pagoda. It is considered the first metal castle in Thailand. It is a 7-storey building with 37 interlocking spires. The 7th tier enshrines the relics of the Lord Buddha. The center of the castle is a hollow space with a 67-step spiral staircase. You can walk up to see the view from above. This is another beautiful place that both Thais and foreigners must not miss visiting and paying homage to. #beautiful temple
