The foundation was built over a hundred years ago, but the Guan Yin statue is almost a thousand years old. The Guan Yin statue here is a blessing posture, carved from fragrant sandalwood, in the art of the Tang Dynasty, but it is assumed that it was built during the Song Dynasty about 800-900 years ago. The foundation invited the Guan Yin statue from China in 1958 for people to come and pay homage to this Guan Yin Shrine.
