It was a trip to Bandung, Indonesia. Just to share some of the places and key things to note about this trip. We visited Tangkuban Perahu Volcano 🌋 This is an active volcano. I would recommend you to bring a mask to avoid inhaling sulfur gases. Do wear comfortable shoes for walking around the craters. We explored the craters, enjoyed the views, and visited the hot springs nearby. Very worth to visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💰IDR 200,000 (~USD 13) 📍Cikahuripan, Lembang, West Bandung Regency We also visited Kawah Putih (White Crater). The crater lake is known for its striking turquoise color, which changes based on the weather. The smell of sulfur is strong so wearing a mask is advisable. We walked around the crater, took photographs, and enjoyed the ethereal scenery. 💰IDR 75,000 (~USD 5) 📍 Sugihmukti, Pasirjambu, Bandung Regency If you are looking for a good place for lunch, I would recommend you to try Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park. This is a beautiful park setting with a lake and bamboo structures. We tried out the Nasi Liwet, Sundanese cuisine. The food was so good and we really love it. This is a popular spot, so expect crowds on weekends. 💰IDR 100,000 – 200,000 (~USD 6.50 – 13) 📍Jl. Kolonel Masturi KM 11, Cisarua, Bandung Barat We also explored the Ranca Upas (Deer Conservation Park). We were managed to buy some food on the spot and feed the deer 🦌 This is a very popular camping spot so I would recommend you to visit during the weekday. If you love natural hot springs, you can also explore the hot spring nearby. 💰 IDR 25,000 (~USD 2) 📍 Jl. Ciwidey-Patengan KM 11, Rancabali, Bandung We also visited Situ Patenggang (Patenggang Lake). A scenic lake surrounded by tea plantations. We rent a boat to explore the lake, the view was really beautiful and it is definitely worth to visit. 💰 IDR 25,000 (~USD 2) 📍 Ciwidey, Bandung Regency I would also recommend you to check out the Tea Plantations at Rancabal. Guided tours available to understand tea processing. I would say the Best visiting timing would be early in the morning for the misty atmosphere. We tried to come here twice with friends before and failed because we couldn't get in even though it was open to the public. Finally made it this morning, even though we had to wait 30 minutes because they opened late. Anyways, this is another new Coffee Shop in Bandung. It occupies a two-story building, but only the second floor is used ✌🏼 Embracing a tropical concept, my favorite spot faces Jalan Riau, it's nice to have coffee while watching the street. WEEKEND in Bandung is fantastic. Great place, delicious food, perfect. Bandung folks love to gather, especially when there's a new place. This one just opened, quite spacious with a glass-house concept amidst lush trees. Despite its size, it feels a bit cramped due to the crowd. There are both outdoor and indoor seating areas with good air circulation, open-air style, so not too stuffy. But because it's the weekend, it's super crowded, so it's important to be considerate considering the current situation. Yesterday, I tried three dishes: Nasi Campur (60k), Pesto Pasta (50k), and French Toast Banana-Nutella (35k). The rice was tasty, the soup fresh, and the spices were flavorful, but a bit too greasy even with added lime. The chicken didn't absorb the seasoning well, but the satay lilit was delicious. The pasta was perfect, with big shrimp. The toast was also delicious. For drinks, I tried the Shani Makuta Tea, cool name, but turned out to be just plain iced tea. Luckily, it did neutralize the greasy taste effectively. This restaurant is just opened in Klenteng, Chinatown Area Bandung and not many people know about this restaurant. I ordered their set meal = IDR 65.000/USD 4.2 , with that price i got 1 portions of hainan rice & crispy chick cutlet, 1 portions of veggie, soup, sauce and drink. I want to say that their chick rice is sooo good! the eggs, soup and veggie also delicious, its really worth to buy. Love the ambience. Good for family, for party, meeting too. They served Indonesian food. Love the Mango drink, must try! They have small farm so you can see small animal like rabbits, small goat, lots of bird, etc....even the peacock (gorgeous peacock) the only set back maybe the location and limited parking area. Shopping at Rumah Mode in Bandung is probably the ultimate experience as this super popular factory outlet is located on the famous Jalan Setiabudi and is known to highlight factory outlet shopping in Bandung. Overall, the outlet is very nicely decorated with excellent landscaping built on a large area with its own private parking. Before you continue, Rumah Mode is pronounced as Rumah Mo-Dey or Roo Mah More Day, as this would make your communication easier when you are here in Bandung. Rumah Mode in Bandung Rumah Mode factory outlet gets super jammed up on weekends, so be prepared for this if you are here during this time. On a normal day, the taxi would take about 5 to 10 minutes to get there from your hotel in town. But on weekends, it can take up to 20 or 30 minutes. Also, once inside Rumah Mode, be prepared for long lines just to try on the clothes. It seems like half of Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur are there shopping on weekends. I'm not gonna lie, this is the coffee that I've been waiting for the most. Finally, you can visit Sweet Story 3 tomorrow 🏻 Carrying a cool retro concept. The definition of each angle is aesthetic with interior design and accessories that are really eye pleasing 😍 until I'm confused about which one to choose, I think 10 slides aren't enough. It's crazy that the interior is really cool. The place is divided into two floors, indoor and outdoor. The location is in the city center, yes. Namely on Jalan Dago, to be more precise across from SMANSA. You really have to visit this, especially if you like taking photos. Plenty of picturesque corners to snap a photo from. It has themed parks that celebrate places from around Asia. It is an all-around place with various attractions and adventure-themed activities, it has a pool and various boutiques for souvenir items. The floating market sits in the middle of it all and has plenty of delicacies to choose from. I would recommend visiting early as it gets too crowded or maybe it was because it was the holiday season during our visit. Your ticket also comes with a complimentary beverage with tea, hot chocolate, coffee and orange juice as choice.
