Delightful Stay with a Few Hiccups

We visited BANDOS Maldives in June to celebrate my wife's birthday. The island was stunning， and the people there were incredibly kind and helpful. We stayed for four nights and had a great experience each day. Unfortunately， check-in was a hassle due to a mix-up by the reservations team， and we had to wait until 5 p.m. for our room. Management should address this， as the staff didn't even know which room we had booked. The Sri Lankan lady at reception， whose name I sadly forgot， was very helpful in sorting things out. We chose a beach villa， which offered a spectacular view with direct beach access. The housekeeping attendant kindly decorated the bed for the birthday， which was very sweet of him. The F&B staff were fantastic， particularly the talented teppanyaki chef， who surpassed our expectations for my wife's birthday dinner. Most of our meals were on the Grill， and the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was also very good， offering plenty of choices. The resort's entertainment was enjoyable， especially “The Wood” band night， which we thoroughly enjoyed while sipping cocktails at the bar. Please keep this up—the band was amazing! At checkout， the front office promised a buggy to pick us up from the villa， but none arrived. We called over four times after 10:40 a.m.， and they kept saying the buggy was on its way. With our boat transfer at 11:30 a.m.， we had to walk to the reception with our bags by 11:15 a.m. Our first and last impressions weren't great， but the stay itself was wonderful. Thanks to the Bandos team who made our visit memorable. We will return.
