Waking up to ricefields & a volcano 😍

#newyearadventure A new year means new adventures, new travel destinations, and new experiences. I'm glad I got to visit Mount Batur for the very first time! Despite having been to Bali many times, I'd never been to the active volcano. And wow, what a morning it was. This experience at Mount Batur has become my favourite moment ever in Bali. Mount Batur is located in Kintamani (north of Ubud), and stands at 1,717m tall. It was formed nearly 30,000 years ago, and watches over the whole of Bali. The view from the surrounding rice fields was beautiful. If you have the time and energy, I highly suggest going for a hike up the volcano. The local guides are very friendly and helpful! For the new year, let's experience many more first-times during our travels. The view of Mount Batur towering over the lush green ricefields somehow inspired me to always look forward to my future, and beyond all possible horizons... seize each moment that comes!
