This village was once named the third cleanest village in the world by the Green Destinations Foundation, alongside Mawlynnong in India and Giethoorn in the Netherlands. Waste management is very well organized—trash bins are placed every 30 meters—and motorized vehicles are prohibited from entering the main area of the village to preserve air quality.
