6-Day Bali Bliss: Sun, Sea and Flavours 🌅🌊(Part 1)

#beachcheck Day 1: We arrived in Bali and headed straight to *Guling Samsam Merekak* for lunch. Renowned for its exceptional Babi Guling, a Balinese specialty, this restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered their signature Samsam Pork and Sate Lilit. Although the location was somewhat remote and challenging to find, the exquisite flavours of the food were well worth the effort. The pork was delightfully crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it a standout dish. Afterward, we relaxed at *Pantai Kuta*, a popular spot known for its stunning sunsets and impressive surf conditions. The beach is conveniently located across from the *Beachwalk Shopping Centre*, where you could catch a movie or shop. For dinner, we visited *Nasi Pedas Bu Hanif*, a roadside stall serving generous portions and flavourful dishes of authentic Javanese cuisine. However, true to its name, "Pedas" (spicy), the food packs a punch, so be prepared for some heat! Day 2: The next morning, we rose early and headed to *Jeffry Warung*, a popular brunch spot with exceptional smoothies and coffee. We then took a leisurely walk along the beach before our paragliding adventure with *Alamparagliding*. This was our first attempt at the sport, and it proved to be incredibly thrilling. The instructor from Alamparagliding was both patient and meticulous, ensuring our safety and guiding us through the experience. The panoramic view of the beach and ocean from above was nothing short of breathtaking—if given the choice of a superpower, I would certainly choose to fly! Afterward, we took our second cup of coffee at *Dua Kafe Nusa Dua*. The cafe offers a spacious and relaxing atmosphere with its wooden decor. While the coffee was good, it was somewhat on the expensive side. In the evening, we enjoyed dinner at *ShiShi Nightclub & Izakaya* Lounge, savouring their exceptional sushi and vibrant atmosphere. The hype surrounding this place is well-deserved. The ingredients are of the highest quality, and for approximately SGD $30, you can enjoy an all-you-can-eat experience. Day 3: On our third day, we began early to catch the stunning sunrise and indulge in a delicious breakfast at *Revolver Seminyak*, a charming boutique café with a stylish ambiance and impressive brunch offerings. We ordered a latte and matcha, complemented by a flaky croissant and indulgent tiramisu. Following breakfast, we explored Seminyak Village, a shopping haven showcasing traditional Balinese handcrafted products, including clothes and souvenirs. For lunch, we opted for a local experience at *Sate Babi Bu Manis*, savouring their signature freshly grilled satay, tender and full of flavour. For those who prefer a milder option, the satay pairs perfectly with rice, offering a more substantial and less spicy meal. In the late afternoon, we relaxed at *Potato Head Beach Club*, relishing the beachfront setting, sunset views, and lively atmosphere. The club excels with its great drinks, tasty food, stunning views, and overall positive vibes. To cap off the day, we dined at *Naughty Nuri*, a famous barbecue spot, and indulged in their mouthwatering smoked ribs with tangy sweet and sour sauce. Each bite of the tender, succulent meat was so satisfying that it left us craving more.

Sea Circus is a fun cafe which ensures a bright start to the morning! The venue is located off the main strip, but it is close to the beach and nestled amongst other food venues, just around the bend from KuDeTa. The food is fresh and delicious and the vibe is happy and relaxed. With its fun menu and fresh food, this is the perfect setting for enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink! With gluten-free and vegan options, the menu here is fresh, fun and very fulfilling! The fresh juice is refreshing and the smoothies are even better! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try their selection of sweet things, but the dessert menu also sounds amazing. #createwithtrip

A stone cold hit since day one, Sisterfields has to be one of the most popular restaurants in Seminyak. With lines out the door every single day for brekkie, lunch and dinner, it’s fair to say that this Melbourne-inspired cafe is doing something right. Fear not though, the service at Sisterfields is always faultless, so it’s never long before the ever-smiling staff have you settled in, sipping and snacking away on the incredible, Instagrammable dishes. Overall I could see where that RAVING review came from! The ambiance was great, service was very nice and friendly, the food was delicious (with relatively BIG portions too!). It was a little steep in terms of prices, but I don’t really mind much anyway! Recommended! #createwithtrip

Coffee Cartel is a boutique coffee shop based in popular Seminyak, and was created in the heart of Wollongong, just south of Sydney Australia, where its sister cafe, Lower East was born. The owners loved Bali so much that they decided to bring their passion to the beautiful island and they even roast their own coffee which is now also sold in the shop. Coffee Cartel is most definitely a brunch place, with an extensive menu, that's not only colourful but healthy too. The staff were also super friendly and helpful, which always makes a place that much more special. Local and ethical beauty products, as well as accessories are for sale downstairs, so take some spare cash for a little spend. This straw fan was my favourite, perfect for hot days at the beach and easy to pack to take home too. Such a lovely little stop in Seminyak, I'd highly recommend a visit and don't forget to try the carrot cake. #createwithtrip

Born in Petitenget, Seminyak and now spreading its fresh taste to Kuta and Canggu, Cafe Organic will amaze you with the selection of divine organic food. Dubbing themselves as Garden Gangsters of Bali, these guys offer healthy nutrient-rich meals sourced from locally farmed ingredients that are sourced daily. The menu is mostly vegetarian and vegan but one with a less strict diet will be happy to find some cool egg choices for breakfast or some parmesan grated pasta for lunch or dinner. Now if you feel like boosting your energy levels when leaving the comfort of your Seminyak holiday villa, the variety and ingenuity of living food on the menu here are wonderful. The menu at Cafe Organic has something for everyone with healthy salads, smoothie bowls, kombuchas and avo toasts. Add to this a great selection of organic coffees and desserts combined with excellent service, laid-back atmosphere and light interior brightened by the beautiful wall murals this should be high on your priority list for those yearning for an organic food hit. #createwithtrip

Set in lovely, lush gardens, the Villa Air Bali Boutique Resort & Spa consists of 16 villas featuring modern Balinese architecture that includes sloped, thatched roofs and partially open-air designs. Surrounding landscaped grounds adhere to Feng Shui principles and bloom with tropical flowers, palm trees, and lush plants as well as soothing water features dotted throughout. The atmosphere is serene and feels secluded, though it’s a short walk to bustling streets filled with shops and restaurants. Guests are greeted under a thatched roof in an open-air lobby where gleaming, cream-colored tile floors are matched by a sleek front desk topped with a fresh flower arrangement. The on-site restaurant is similarly simple in style with an open-air design overlooking the green gardens, typical thatched roof, and a collection of tables topped in white linens. There’s plenty of lounge areas throughout the property, be it comfy, cushioned couches in a cabana by the pool, or lounge space in the small library. #createwithtrip #staycation
