Australia Travel Review: A Fun and Delightful Trip with Kangaroos and Crystal-Clear Seas

If you’re thinking about traveling abroad, Boom highly recommends raising your hand and heading to Australia! ⸻ Day 1: Sydney – Opera House and Stunning Ocean Views We arrived in Sydney early in the morning to beautiful skies and cool, pleasant weather. The trip started with a visit to the iconic landmark, the Opera House. The view was absolutely stunning, just like a postcard come to life. We strolled around Circular Quay, where yachts sailed by, and the scenery of mountains and crystal-clear waters was so refreshing. Then, we walked across the magnificent Harbour Bridge. It was a bit tiring, but the vibe was absolutely worth it! ⸻ Day 2: Featherdale Wildlife Park – Playing with Cute Koalas and Kangaroos Woke up super excited because today we were heading to Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to adorable koalas and soft, cuddly kangaroos. Upon arrival, we saw koalas curled up on tree branches, their soft fur and sleepy demeanor were irresistibly cute. We got to take close-up photos and even gently touch them. The kangaroos came up close to us, letting us feed them by hand—it felt like meeting new, lovable friends. There were also vibrant birds and other charming animals, making this place perfect for nature and animal lovers. ⸻ Day 3: Bondi Beach – Clear Waters and Relaxing by the Sea We slept in a bit today and then headed to Bondi Beach, a famous spot bustling with people. The water was crystal-clear, and the fine white sand felt amazing underfoot. The beach was filled with surfers, truly embodying the Australian spirit. We strolled along the shore, took photos, and relaxed at Bondi Icebergs Pool, a stunning seaside pool where ocean waves splash into the water. Swimming while listening to the sound of waves was so blissful, I didn’t want to leave. In the evening, we watched the sunset by the sea—it was so beautiful, I wished time could stand still. ⸻ Day 4: The Grounds of Alexandria – A Charming Garden Cafe Calling all cafe lovers! Today, we visited The Grounds of Alexandria, a delightful cafe that feels like a fairy-tale garden. I ordered a fragrant latte and a lemon cake that was perfectly sweet and tangy. The atmosphere was amazing, surrounded by colorful flowers, trees, and even small animals like rabbits and chickens roaming around. I could sit and relax here all day. If you love taking photos, this cafe is a must-visit. There are countless Instagram-worthy spots! ⸻ Day 5: Melbourne – The City of Art and Great Coffee We switched cities to explore Melbourne, known for its art and culture. We walked through Hosier Lane, a graffiti-filled alley with stunning murals covering the walls—it felt like an outdoor gallery. Melbourne is packed with cafes, and I tried a Flat White coffee, which was rich and aromatic. It’s a must-try if you’re in Australia. The city’s vibe is laid-back yet chic, perfect for art enthusiasts and those who love capturing beautiful photos. ⸻ Day 6: Luna Park – A Classic Amusement Park Today was all about fun at Luna Park, a nostalgic amusement park that brought back childhood memories. We enjoyed the carousel, cute roller coasters, and a not-too-scary haunted house. We laughed so much, we forgot about being tired. I even made new friends from different countries, and we had great conversations. It was a wonderful reminder of how travel opens doors to meeting new people. ⸻ Day 7: St Kilda – Watching Little Penguins Return Home On the last day before heading back, we visited St Kilda by the sea, where tiny penguins walk in a line back to their homes at dusk. They were so adorable! We sat by the sea, watched the sunset, and listened to the waves and cool breeze. It was a peaceful and heartwarming moment, the perfect way to end the trip. ⸻ Final Thoughts on Australia Australia is truly a fantastic travel destination, offering beautiful beaches, clear waters, adorable wildlife, stylish cities, and chic cafes.
