The Best Hotel for Viewing Sydney's Darling Harbor Christmas Fireworks

Every seemingly perfect moment is backed by meticulous planning. This year, my daughter is returning to Australia for her winter break. After researching the events in Sydney and Melbourne for the next two months, she decided to watch the Christmas fireworks in Sydney and the New Year's fireworks in Melbourne. We landed in Sydney on a Saturday and stayed at a hotel in Darling Harbor, where the fireworks are displayed. Choosing the right hotel was a thoughtful process. Based on my experience with Hong Kong's Spring Festival fireworks last year, even the best view can be compromised by window reflections. Despite recommendations for the W Hotel and Sofitel in Darling Harbor, I chose the Hyatt with a terrace room. As expected, watching the dazzling fireworks from the terrace felt like being at home. Room 1432 at the Hyatt offers an unbeatable view, while our other room, 1202, had obstructions that hindered the experience. The Christmas atmosphere in Australia is as vibrant as our Spring Festival.
