Hobbiton - a real place in New Zealand

Peter Jackson spotted the Alexander Farm of the North Island for the possible location to film The Lord of The Rings film trilogy, he immediately thought this location perfect for Hobitton. It was built for filming in March 1999 and then filming commenced on December the same year. It is now a permanent attraction for tourists or the fans of LOTRs and the Hobbiton.
