Fukuoka Prize Sakura --- Chikuzen Little Kyoto: Akizuki Castle Ruins

#FukuokaSakura In Asakura City in Fukuoka Prefecture there is a mountain castle ruin called Akizuki. Not only does it have rich mountain and river scenery, it also retains the traditional streetscape. It was once prosperous and was known as the "Little Kyoto of Chikuzen." The 500-meter-long tree-lined road leading to the Akizuki Castle ruins is called the Akizuki Sugi-no-Bao. There are about 200 cherry trees on both sides of the road. The cherry blossom tunnel formed when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom is a stunning sight. It is quite healing to stroll through the streets where quaint buildings and cherry blossoms are intertwined. # At night, the street lights illuminate the cherry blossoms, creating a dreamy scene that is different from the daytime and is quite charming. #Fukuoka #Akizuki Castle Ruins
