Cliffs, Caves, and Chill Hikes on Ruta Barranco de la Hoz

#summervacay Hiking the Ruta Barranco de la Hoz was such a cool experience. This trail is packed with surprises, wooden walkways clinging to canyon walls, little caves, turquoise water peeking through the rocks, and even a waterfall or two. It’s not super hard, just the right amount of effort to feel like an adventure without dying of exhaustion. The gorge itself is super dramatic, with tall cliffs and narrow paths that make you feel tiny in the best way. Parts of the trail follow the river and then suddenly you're walking along the side of a rock wall with epic views all around. Totally feels like something out of a fantasy movie. Best part? It’s not overrun with people. I went on a weekday and had long stretches of peaceful walking with nothing but birdsong and wind. Just bring decent shoes, snacks, and water. Ruta Barranco de la Hoz is one of those hidden gems that makes you wanna keep hiking forever.
