The ancient city has long been in ruins, but the soul still resides in the museum

The Yin Ruins National Archaeological Park consists of the palace and ancestral temple area, the royal tomb area, and the remains of the Huanbei Shang City, among others. After more than 3,000 years of weathering and wars, the palace area has already become ruins, the royal tombs have been almost completely looted, and the Huanbei Shang City has been covered by villages and is still under archaeological investigation. To understand the Yin Ruins, one must visit the Yin Ruins Museum to see the artifacts that have been excavated and preserved through archaeology and heritage. They are the core and soul of the Yin Ruins! The new museum, which opened just this year, focuses on the theme of 'The Great Shang Civilization' and features three basic exhibits: Exploring Shang Civilization, The Great Shang Civilization, and The Shang Civilization in the World; four special exhibitions, including the Chariot and Horse Relics Exhibition, the Yinxu Garden Zhuangdong Oracle Bone Special Exhibition, the Ya Chang Tomb Special Exhibition, and a unique immersive digital exhibition. Nearly 4,000 sets of artifacts are on display, including bronzes, pottery, jade, and oracle bones, three-quarters of which are making their debut. The museum is just across the river from the temple ruins, and while it's a bit of a walk between attractions, you can take a boat directly across the river for 10 yuan, and there is a free shuttle bus connecting the sites. If you're tired, you can rest and eat at the Yinxu Cultural Tourism Town or a farmhouse. The Yin Ruins are now connected to the main urban area of Anyang, just two or three kilometers from the city center, which is very convenient.
