In addition to the exhibitions in Anyang Pavilion, the entire Anyang Art Park is also an exhibition space. Admission is free. The exhibitions in the pavilion are all on this first floor, and it felt more like an archive of outdoor exhibitions and installations. It’s a good place, but unfortunately, there is no separate parking facility. The Anyang Art Park area is a place with a lot of people due to the many hikers, and it’s really crowded on weekends due to the many cars compared to the narrow roads. If you’re a beginner driver, I hope you don’t dare think about driving here on the weekend. However, if you do drive, you have to find an empty spot on your own to park. Of course, there are paid parking lots nearby, but you have to look around every nook and cranny to find a free parking space. Skillful driving skills are essential to park in narrow and cornered places. The pavilion with its non-standard windows, curved buildings, and beautiful light coming in through the windows from inside. Although it is not large, the small garden around it is nice, and it also feels like going on a secret path, which is new. There are various works of art on display outdoors, so it is fun to find them here and there as if you are on a treasure hunt while walking. Even if you are not familiar with art, the descriptions of the works lower the barrier. The works of Alvaro Siza that the public can most easily find in Korea are the Mimesis Art Museum in Paju and the Anyang Pavilion, so I recommend visiting one of them, the Pavilion.
