Antigua: A World Heritage City

Antigua—though not a Japanese word, it carries the meaning of 'antique.' The city indeed has an antique charm, yet it also feels beautifully organized. The streets are laid out in a grid pattern, with numerous intersecting roads, and the cobblestone pavements add to its picturesque atmosphere. Personally, I found the doors to be particularly striking in design. In fact, one café even had a photo book dedicated to doors, which suggests they are a distinctive feature of the city.
