Established in 1972, the park spans approximately 34,425 hectares, stretching from Sarısu, southwest of Antalya, to Cape Gelidonya along the Kemer-Kumluca shoreline.   ⸻ 🌿 Nature & Biodiversity The park boasts diverse ecosystems, ranging from sea level to elevations of 2,365 meters at Tahtalı Dağı (also known as Lycian Olympus). Its varied altitudes support a rich array of flora and fauna, including over 865 plant species, 25 of which are endemic. The park is also home to wildlife such as mountain goats, lynxes, caracals, and wolves.   ⸻ 🏛️ Historical Significance Within the park lie the ruins of ancient cities like Olympos, Phaselis, and Idyros, reflecting its historical importance in the regions of Pamphylia and Lycia. These sites offer visitors a glimpse into the area’s rich cultural past.   ⸻ 🔥 Natural Phenomena A notable feature is the Yanartaş (Chimera) burning gas field on the slopes of Tahtalı Dağı.
