Huzhou｜A Hidden Gem in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai｜Deep Blue Project

Huzhou has a popular internet-famous quarry known as the 'Deep Blue Project,' which is a very distinctive abandoned quarry that has now become a well-known check-in spot in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. On my way back to Shanghai from Yixing, I passed by here and spent half a day appreciating the beautiful scenery and relaxing experience. 📍 Location: Hongmiao Village, Meixi Town, Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. You can directly navigate to 'Deep Blue Project,' and there is a free parking lot by the roadside. There are quite a few people on weekends. 🏞️ Environmental Features: 👉Why is it called the 'Deep Blue Project'? It is probably because the deep blue lake water is an excellent background for photos. However, I am not sure why the water is so clean; it should have some flow. Upon entering, you are faced with a large viewing platform where you can overlook the opposite quarry. 👉Another feature here is the industrial building relics, which have now been transformed into cafes or internet-famous photo spots. They have a unique historical feel and a modern trendy vibe. Walking to the right from the viewing platform, there is a row of dilapidated bungalows on the high platform. The window holes here are the most popular spots, with people queuing all year round. If you can't wait, you can find some leisure chairs outside to sit on. 🍽️ Food Recommendations: 👉The ticket here is 68 yuan, which includes a cup of 'Deep Blue Coffee.' After entering, walk to the left to the end, and at the 'Deep Blue Project X·Career Manufacturing Bureau' cafe, you can redeem the special Deep Blue Coffee. Along the way, there are leisure camping chairs by the lake where you can drink coffee and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. 👉Of course, in the renovated buildings here, I also saw a Thai restaurant and various snacks. For those who don't want to walk around, you can find an indoor restaurant or cafe to sit and enjoy the scenery. In August, the weather outside is over 30 degrees, and it's easy to get sunstroke if you walk around a lot. 📸 Check-in Recommendations: The interior of the cafe here can be used to shoot industrial style photos. Wearing trendy clothes will make the photos look great. Of course, waiting for the sunset by the lake and capturing the stunning scenery of the deep blue lake under the sunset is also very good. There are actually a lot of people here, so if you want to find some open scenes, you still have to wait a bit. 📖 Tips: The best time to visit is all year round. There is not much greenery, mainly buildings and the industrial-style lake, so the best time to visit is in the pleasant climate of spring and autumn.
