View of the Pacific Ocean from Cape Gamoda, the easternmost cape of Shikoku

📍Gamoda Cape Lighthouse This lighthouse stands on the easternmost tip of Shikoku, at Cape Gamoda in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture. Made of concrete, it features a rare square window for a lighthouse. It illuminates the entrance to the Seto Inland Sea and the Kii Channel. Together with the Kii Hinomisaki Lighthouse on the opposite shore, it forms the end line of the Seto Inland Sea. It is said that loggerhead turtles, designated as a rare wild fauna and flora by the prefecture, come to lay eggs on the sandy beach on the north side of the cape. This unusual lighthouse with a square window is the best spot to watch the sunrise. On a clear day, you can see the dynamic scenery of the Onaruto Bridge, Awaji Island, and Wakayama Prefecture in the distance. #0 yen trip February 2025
