Moco Museum Review: A Costly Modern Art Experience

The Moco Museum Amsterdam, standing independently, showcases modern and contemporary art. Situated on Museum Square, it features pieces by significant modern artists like Banksy, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, and Keith Haring. It also frequently organizes temporary exhibitions, having highlighted names such as Roy Lichtenstein and Yayoi Kusama in the past. Standard tickets range from €17.95 to €22.95, plus an additional €7.50 per person for 10 minutes in the Pink Room. Even for a modern art enthusiast, the steep admission prices are tough to defend, making Moco less attractive in terms of cost-effectiveness. Nevertheless, the I amsterdam card provides free admission, which is how I entered. I was intrigued to see the museum yet not sufficiently interested in modern art to pay the full price.
