Amster-dreaming: Bikes, Canals, and Secret Alleys

#summervacay Exploring Amsterdam felt like starring in my own little adventure movie—minus the scary soundtrack. We set off along the maze of canals, each one prettier than the last, with bridges that practically begged for a selfie. Bicycles zipped past in every direction, and I quickly learned that in this city, two wheels always have the right of way! From leaning gabled houses that looked ready to tumble into the water, to hidden courtyards tucked behind old brick walls, every street had something surprising to offer. We wandered into quirky shops selling everything from tulip bulbs to cheese shaped like windmills, and I’m pretty sure I spotted at least three cats napping in storefront windows. The best part was just letting ourselves get a little lost—because in Amsterdam, getting lost usually means stumbling onto a secret garden or a tiny art gallery. By the end of the day, my camera was full, my feet were tired, and my heart was completely smitten with this canalside wonderland.
