Saepinum Archaeological Area 🇮🇹

#2024wish I just spent an interesting day at the Saepinum Archaeological Area and it's a hidden treasure for people who love history! 🏛️🌳 In the beautiful Molise area, for only €8 you can get into a place and learn lots about old Roman lives. This is really cheap! An old Roman town called Saepinum has well-preserved ruins. The Roman Forum is the main part of the place. It's surrounded by temples, a big theater and houses that are kept very good shape. Going down the streets with stones, you can almost feel the activity of everyday life in this city that was very busy before. 🏰🚶♂️ For me, the best part was seeing Trajan's Arch. This is a famous landmark at the town entry that makes everyone say "wow". The detailed chiseling and massive size of the arch are amazing. 🏹🏛️ Take a minute to look around the museum - it's got lots of interesting things from this area. It shows a look at Saepinum's different parts from everyday things to religious objects. 🏺🖼️ After your history exploration, a short trip to Campitello Matese nearby gives you different surroundings. The mountains and fresh air give a calm difference to old buildings. 🏞️🚗 End your day by going to a small Italian restaurant in the nice town of Sepino.
