Almaty | Charyn Canyon.

It's about a 2-hour drive from Almaty, and you'll start to see the vast grasslands. After another hour or so, you'll arrive at Charyn Canyon. From the freezing mountains of Almaty to the scorching Charyn Canyon, it's like two different worlds. There are two routes up and down the mountain, where you can either overlook the canyon or walk through the bottom of the canyon. The sky is so blue it's shocking, and the canyon is vast and open. P.S. The valley walkway has a tour bus, and the "flying dust" it kicks up really ruins the walking experience. 📍Charyn Canyon National Park, Almaty September 15, 2024
