A wonderful historic fortress in Alexandria!

#celebrateit #alexandria #egypt Citadel of Qaitbay is an amazing attraction in Alexandria which offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is wonderful to know that it still stands on the site of the Alexandria Lighthouse which was one of the ancient seven wonders of the world. I really enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic views from the fortress. It is a must visit in Alexandria. It was built in the 15th century and as a foreigner you can visit it for 200 Egyptian pounds.
