Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah AGRA

Intro - First, this mausoleum officially named Itmad-ud-Daulah was built (1628) before the Taj Mahal was started by 4 years (1632) - not a follow-up. The reason it is affectionately called Baby Taj is because it looks like a miniature architecture. But (for the second time) that is not the case, and Itmad-ud-Daulah is the model the Taj Mahal learned from – as many scholars agree. Following Mugal architecture, Itmad-ud-Daulah is the first built marble structure. Before that, the architecture of the sultans was usually made of red sandstone. Taj Mahal as many people still think is just the second marble architecture. Highlights- Not as majestic as the Taj Mahal, Itmad-ud-Daulah creates a more cozy and friendly feeling. Most of the tourists are locals nearby who visit, very enthusiastic and hospitable. Extra points for Itmad-ud-Daulah as the new owners of this legacy. Perhaps because of the absence of people, the monkeys and monkeys gather here quite a lot, attracting European and American tourists who love animals, as well as rarely encounter wild animals that live quite close to humans. But for me, there is also the Jamuna river floating below, that afternoon I was lucky to meet a herd of buffaloes leaving the river to go home, stirring nostalgia for the old hometown.
