The scones here were really delicious! And since this place is also used as a hostel, I recommend it if you want a unique experience. Magpie Cafe is really famous for its fish and chips. However, Whitby is much more than that. It's the place where Captain Cook set sail, and it flourished during the Age of Exploration. It's also the birthplace of vampire culture. 130 years ago, the Irish novelist Bram Stoker wrote the famous vampire novel *Dracula* in Whitby. · Whitby is not a big town, but half a day is still a rush. From the ancient abbey ruins to the bustling harbor and beach, it was undoubtedly the most memorable part of my trip to England. The weather was also very fitting. Many of England’s seaside resorts can be labelled as run down and dated, however one that has stood the test of time is North Yorkshire’s Whitby. The town made famous by Bram Stoker’s Dracula has plenty to keep you occupied from a visit to its imposing hilltop abbey, to wandering around its narrow streets and alleys to just taking a stroll along the beach.
