Surprisingly little-known! Discover the charms of Okinoerabu Island 👀
📍Location: Okinoerabujima, Kagoshima Prefecture
Okinoerabujima, one of the Amami Islands, is an island made of raised coral!
There are caves all over the island!
I was so excited that I wanted to go there for a long time, and now I can!
How to get to Okinoerabujima:
Plane or ferry
I took a boat ride from Naha Port for about 7 hours via Yoron Island 🚢💨
About 6,000 yen (second class fare) for adults one way
You can go around the island in 1-2 hours by rental car
Recommended spot ① Cape Tamana
💞Reasons why we recommend it:
The view is great!
The sea breeze is nice!
There are walking courses so you can take your time!
You can see sea turtles from the top of the cliffs!
At the back left of the cape is a place called "stone quarry" where travertine marble was collected
A goat appeared there! If you're lucky, you might see it too❤️
If you call out to it or chase it, it will run away, so leave it alone🎶
Recommended spot ② Fucha
💞Reasons why we recommend it:
A place where you can see seawater rising from the cave.
On windy days, it seems to rise several tens of meters, and it's a spectacular sight👀
The view from the top of the cliff is also amazing❤️
If you're brave, go to the very edge and take some great photos!
Recommended spot ③ Caving
💞Reasons why we recommend it:

※You will be taken to the cave by the guide's car, and you must follow the guide's instructions!
The cave is located in a place that makes you think, "Huh, a place like this?" You explore the cave, but the beginner course can only go as far as the rimstone cave. If you want to go further, please contact us 🎶 The life-threatening experience can be experienced for about 2 hours, such as passing through narrow places, diving with waterfalls, swimming and walking. Of course, you can take photos and videos, so don't worry! You can hear a lot of stories about the lives of people here in the past and how the cave was created!
