Tumen can be a check-in point when you play in Yanji. It only takes 15 minutes to take the high-speed train from Yanji West Station to Tumen North Station. A day trip to the border in Tuju✈️🇨🇳 I went to the quiet border town of Tuju, just over an hour by train from Yanji🚉 This place is so amazing...! North Korea is right on the other side of the river. From Yanji, I took a day tour van to the Duman River and went around the Duman Riverside Park to see the Duman River bordering North Korea. It was shallow and narrow. From Duman River Park, I took a van to Yongjeong and there was the birthplace of poet Yun Dong-ju and Myeongdong School, which was established in the early 20th century to instill the spirit of anti-Japanese struggle in students at the Yongjeong Independence Base in North Gando and raise them to be independent patriots. I climbed Baekdu Mountain in Yanbian, China and was lucky enough to see Baekdu Mountain Heaven! As a Korean, it was such a moving day! The Tumen River in July was shimmering with muddy yellow waves, like a sleeping dragon winding along the Sino-North Korean border.
