A first-class cable car is necessary for a day trip, otherwise you will not be able to catch the return train in one day. You don’t need to sit on the second-level cable car if you exercise regularly. However, the hiking trail opens in three directions and gives you three flights of stairs, which is still strenuous to climb. Fortunately, after these steps there is a flat road and a gentle slope, which is basically easier to walk. There is a tunnel at the exit of the second-level cable car, and you can go directly through it to reach the Fenglin Scenic Area and Shili Painting Screen. It is more cost-effective to sign up for a group tour. It is recommended to sign up in the morning, sleep as soon as you get on the bus, and return to the city early.
