We were there on a rainy day, thus not much crowd is seen in the park. Taiping Lake Gardens offers a serene tranquil lake garden ambiance, a place for hang outs, chill, exercise and so much more, away from the hustling and bustling city lifestyle. The gardens boast lush greeneries, vibrant water lilies, flowers, lake views. Beautiful lake and garden that is locals favourite and one of the famous tourist attraction in Taiping, this place is highly recommended for nature enthusiast and photographers! Besides, there are some fun activities that can be done here like boat pedalling or rent a bicycle to cycle around the park! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

This local lake is a hidden gem that's truly a testament to the wonders of nature's resilience and community care. The scenery here is nothing short of breathtaking. From here it is less than 10 minutes to the food court behind the fire station, less than 10 minutes from the lake park and zoo. Because it is located in a residential area, the surrounding area is not crowded. The room very simple but the view is very beautiful because of the hill view from far. This hotel has an indoor pool. Suitable for bathing children. Open from 8am to 7pm. Located on the second floor of this hotel. This hotel also has a small section for the history of Taiping town. There is a list of attractions that can be visited in Taiping. Love this restaurant that serve a lot of western food. There are two floors. A banqueting place is specially prepared on the upper floor which can accommodate approximately 20 adult family members. Usually this place is a hot spot for foodies and couples and families. Have a wide selection of local and western cuisine as well as a few choices of cakes. The lamb shank is good, nice marination. But they serve with a whole lot of mash potatoes underneath I do not know for what. We also ordered crazy chocolate milkshake, it is so nice and sweet. The toilet are clean, they even have Muslims prayer room. I drove a motorcycle to Kuala Lumpur and made a brief stop at the Taiping Highway rest stop. The greening project of the rest stop is quite outstanding, and the surrounding environment is quiet and pleasant. Here I found all sorts of delicious food and drink to satisfy my hunger and thirst. Moreover, the toilets in the rest stop are very clean and sanitary, making people feel comfortable. Overall, it was a pleasant place to stop and made the trip more relaxing and enjoyable. ❤️Enjoyed the unique RainTrees Walk where i can see the branches bend over the road and dip into the lake. Now the trees have to be proped up to preserve it. ❤️It is a Good thing that cars are not allowed to drive through under the cars!!! There are many paths for walks, exercise and even bicycles for rent. There are cycle boats for rent to ride on the lake. ❤️This Garden has been well taken care of and lots of beautiful greeneries good for photos. I Saw White flamingos and you can White Dots on trees in the evening when the flamingos nested. Recommend my hometown today •Malaysia•Perak•Taiping• It's a place with a lot of history. There are also many "best" in Malaysia It has the oldest lakeside park (consisting of 10 lakes) There is the oldest museum (previously free but now requires a ticket) It houses the first and oldest prison in Malaysia. The oldest zoo There is the country's first public swimming pool, etc. Not only is the place beautiful, the food is also superb Every time I go back, I gain 1-2-3 kg😂 If you haven't been there, you can consider it. Taiping Lake Gardens was the first public recreation park established in Malaysia and today it remains one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Magnificent rain trees, many over 100 years old, line the lake along Jalan Pekeling, with giant branches extending over the water and providing shade and a peaceful ambience for walkers. The gardens comprise West Lake, South Lake, Jungle Lake and a number of smaller lakes, ponds and islands linked by footpaths and decorative bridges. At night some of the bridges are colourfully illuminated. Antong Coffee Factory is the oldest coffee mill in Malaysia. The entrance was nicely decorated with a gigantic Antong coffee cup, old grandpa's bicycle, wall paintings and some tables. You can see some old trees next to a heritage yellow colour building. It has a showroom that features the history of the brand, process of making coffee beans, and also their products. Other than their signature charcoal roasted coffee, I recommend to buy the white coffee, very fragrant, rich and smooth to drink. If you like iced coffee, you can try their special latte in a bear bottle. Reasonable prices. The staff were informative and welcoming. Free entrance. Ample parkings. I've visited this zoo a few times already and it never seems to bore me and my kids. This time i can see they are doing a lot of maintenance work to improve visitors' experiences. So of course this is another reason for me to revisit this zoo in few more months. This zoo is pretty huge, so make sure that you wear proper clothes. There are kiosk that sell snack and drinks inside the zoo. There are also trams if you dont want to explore this zoo on foot. I forgot to take pictures at the ticket counter but the ticket price is very affordable. The price for me, husband and our two kids only cost us RM48. The parking space around this zoo is huge as this zoo located around Taman Tasik Taiping. After your visit to the zoo, you can just chill around the park while watching your kids play at the playground. I'm sure going to visit this zoo again in near future.

Taiping Mall is adjacent to Novotel Taiping Hotel. It is quieter than other shopping malls. There were some interesting shops selling toys, clothes, luggage, backpacks, and Chinese New Year hampers. A Cherry Bakery, a Marybrown fast food chain and Pacific Mall. Quite a good option to enjoy Aircon in hot weather. For kids, they may find it fun to be here because of the play areas and rides. This bakery is well-known for their freshly baked Kaya Kok (Kaya puffs). The skin was crispy with a generous amount of filling. So tasty! Other than that, they also sell Tao Sar Piah (Mung Bean Biscuits), Pandan Bean Paste Biscuits, Fried Fish Skin, Walnut cookies, and Siew Pao. You will be surprised by how the bakery looks like, it is hidden in a residential area, with windows opened for customers to place orders and a tiny signboard. People always say, if the food is good, no matter how far customers will come. One of the best free things to do is visiting parks. Spritzer is a well-known mineral water brand in Malaysia. The Eco Park is just next to their headquarters, very well maintained. There are 18-hole Mini Golf courses, cafe, rare rocks, tree tag walkabout, love locks corner, creative recycled bottles decorations and more. Please be aware of wild monkeys, they could be aggressive. There is a convenient stall selling drinks, snacks and souvenirs, must get a Spritzer drink if you happen to be there. Ample parking space. This place is so good, suitable together with friends or family.The air was very clear, they have a museum record the history of Spritzer. Winter carnival at the Spritzer EcoPark From 16th December till 1st January. Colorful and nice Christmas decorations. Lots of people there despite raining. Obviously a place which attracts a lot of locals - the waters and the pool are attractive. And they are great fun for kids and teenagers to enjoy. constant running water, some pools to submerge in and on a warm day(or indeed any day) they will provide fun and enjoyment. Access could be made easier and it is a pity that the girder bridge which crosses the river is not more attractive. But worth a brief visit - unless you want to go splashing about with your kids. #MyTripVlog

The Perak Museum is a public museum located at the junction of Jalan Muzium and Jalan Taming Sari in Taiping, Perak, Malaysia. It is the oldest museum in Malaysia and highlights the history of the state. Very cheap entry with many informative display. Spacious, air conditioned and clean. Can spend a good hour (or more) learning. Love the animal display. I didn't expect a high standard for a small town like this. Hope more people will make it a point to visit so they can keep this going. There's some antique cars and boat display outside. There's a small children's playground that seemed decent (apart from the broken swing) No full stars rating because there was a children's corner but nothing was there. And there wasn't any soap in the ladies toilet. The toilet also has be flushed "creatively ". I don't know why this seem to be a common thing with Malaysian spots.
