I stayed at the Moriaki Ryokan in Ikaho Onsen, Gunma last summer. The ryokan is located near the stone steps of Ikaho Onsen and is quite large. The meat was especially tender and tasty, and I had multiple servings of rice, haha. There is an old-fashioned stone step street nearby, where you can enjoy sightseeing. Although Gunma Prefecture is close to the metropolitan area, you need to take a bus from the station, so the travel by public transportation was long.

Mizusawa udon is one of the three major udon in Japan, and it has a chewy texture that goes down easily and is delicious. Udon, soup and tempura are all delicious. Hot spring water flows down the waterway in the middle of the stairs.In winter, it steams and welcomes many tourists. Half way up is a onsen foot bath for free. Make it to the top to see the shrine. Ikaho Onsen Stone Steps Street!!!
