#passionpassport Smokies have many trails and hikes. One of the famous trail is Chimney Top. It’s beautiful and as it’s hill top it has best babies. But due to fire sone years ago Trail has be restricted to 2/3 of the actual trail length. Trail has mainly stairs and it goes around the water stream so you will see many waterfalls along the trail. It gets tougher when hiking last stretch of the trail. Trails passes inside the forest so looks very calming and relaxing. Take lot of water and wear comfortable shoes and clothes. The most amazing is the trails and beautiful stairs in most of the trails. Trails are beautiful with greenery and streams all along the path. at the end you will find beautiful waterfall or hill top. Most of the stairs on the trails are wooden and gives close to nature. Its a good experience to walk on the trails. Its name derived from a “roaring” mountain stream, the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail twists and turns for six miles, forming a one-way looping scenic drive through the Great Smoky Mountains. The narrow roadway only allows cars—trucks, trailers. Unfortunately, RVs cannot fit on this road. Drive along the road and immerse yourself in the mossy green rocks and boulders as you gaze at the water rushing through the mountains. There are multiple small long trails can be taken in between along the River stream. Each turn gives a beautiful scenery and view. Water streams sound and trees sound makes it amazing sound and it gives calm and beautiful experience. There are many locations where one can stop on the way and enjoy the nature. Chimney Tops is a mountain in the central Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. It is 4,724 feet above sea level. Chimney Tops is a double-capstone knob on the eastern slope of the Sugarland Mountain massif, which stretches north-south across the north-central section of the Smokies. Total length of hike is 2.5 miles but due to fire on top of Chimney Tops some part of the trail has been closed. Now it left with 1.8 mile hike. It’s a normal level hike and takes around 3 hrs in round trip. There were many fountains on the way and the trail is extremely beautiful in rain. Trail is marked nicely and clean. One of the best part of Smoky Mountain is Clingmans Dome. Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is the highest point in Tennessee. The observation tower on the summit of Clingmans Dome offers spectacular 360° views of the Smokies and beyond for visitors willing to climb the steep half-mile walk to the tower. Climb is 800 mtr but takes lot of efforts to walk. It’s takes around 30 min to reach the platform. View from tops looks amazing but when we went it was foggy and for seconds it became clear and became foggy again. I pulled over at Clingmans Dome, the highest point in the park, and hiked the short but steep trail to the observation tower. #campingfun Dawu Mountain | I finally lived in the most beautiful campsite in autumn. Elkmont Campground in Foggy Mountain National Park in the United States is a cost-effective first-choice camp for maple viewing in autumn. A drive from the popular town of Gatlinburg It only takes 20 minutes. It only takes 6 minutes to drive to the popular trail Laurel falls. ! The peak of maple viewing in Dawu Mountain in 2024 will be between 10/21-10/28. Recommended duration: three days and two nights Elkmont Campground. The camp is very large, mostly in the woods. You can also see the river in some places. It is always recommended to book on the official website one month in advance. If it is fully booked, don't give up. There will be an empty seat at any time. There is no shower, hot water, and mobile phone signal. You can buy firewood in the camp. Because there are often bears, the garbage must be put in the anti-bear trash can. Sleep When food, water and toiletries are locked in the car. In the camp, thick maple leaves covered the ground, and red, orange and yellow leaves fell from the trees from time to time. The morning fog gently covered the surroundings, and the sunlight through the mist on the golden leaves, which looked particularly quiet and bright. May 2019 holiday, driving to Dabie Mountain National Park with classmates, the mountains are full of Lingzhi mushrooms, I really want to pick them all and bring them home.

Have to check out this beautiful drive through The Great Smokey Mountains! Especially during fall when the leaves are changing and converting the ground. There are a couple pull-off spots with amazing views, and some with old cabins you can walk through. Nice way to spend the evening. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Thursday though. Other than that, we had a blast.
