I highly recommend Merumatta Senggigi as the best place to spend your time in Lombok, Indonesia, especially with your spouse. Located in very good place, you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset without going outside the hotel area. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, you can just simply call them when you need something to fix. You can also prepare a surprise for your perfect honeymoon. The place is so peaceful and clean. If you want to go to Gili Trawangan, you can also rent the boat from the hotel. Kerandangan beach is a beautiful place, it's perfect for those who like to be alone for a while and just enjoy the view of the sea. On the beach kerandangan you can enjoy the sunset with an extraordinary natural panorama, if you are lucky the sunset you get will be side by side with the majestic mountain in Bali, if you are hungry on the kerandangan beach there are many sellers of satay bulayak and the taste is really great! Just wrapped up an unforgettable few days in Senggigi, Lombok — and I have to say, it’s one of the most underrated coastal gems in Indonesia. 🌴 The Vibes Senggigi greeted us with a perfect mix of laid-back charm and stunning natural beauty. The long stretch of beach with its golden sand and calm waves was perfect for evening strolls and sunrise views. Compared to Bali, it felt quieter and more personal — almost like a secret hideaway. 🍴 Food & Flavors We tried fresh seafood right by the beach — grilled fish with sambal and nasi campur quickly became our favorites. Dinner with the sound of waves crashing nearby was simply magical. 🌊 Experiences • Snorkeling just off the shore gave us glimpses of colorful corals and lively fish. • A quick trip to the nearby viewpoints rewarded us with postcard-worthy sunsets. • The locals were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the stay even more memorable. ✨ Why Senggigi? Katamaran Resort was a great hotel I stayed in. We booked a villa room and hotel was very kind to add an extra bed. Pool water was cold so do consider if you truly need a villa pool. Public pool is actually very beautiful since it’s an infinity pool. If you have time, both the Belembu and Stokel falls are worth visiting!#travel #lomboklove

📍Travel introduction The surrounding environment is nice because there are many good restaurants nearby. Except for the fact that the rooms are a little stuffy, the staff are friendly and it's okay for just sleeping. Breakfast is just a quick meal.

Lombok is quite chill. The west coast has glassy waters all morning. Before leaving from Senggigi Beach Hotel, I was hesitant about which hotel to choose. After checking out a few alternatives, I realized I could have chosen any of them blindly. My options were Katamaran Resort, Jeeva Santai Villas, and Sudamala Resorts. If your budget is around IDR 2,500,000, I highly recommend The Secret Villas & Spa. The entire Lombok beach seems to have the same clarity you'd only expect from a boat trip in Thailand. The sunset in the evening is also stunning, with views of the volcano on Bali across the water. For now, I don't need to go anywhere else, and I'm not even thinking about an intense hike up Mount Rinjani.

A tourist spot on the west side of Lombok, near the airport. A place you can stop by on your way north to the Gili Islands. 1) Sade Village A village where about 800 indigenous Sasak people live. You can observe and experience traditional life. Admission is by donation. A guide (English and Indonesian) is included. A tip is also required for the guide. The tour takes just under an hour. A tourist spot worth seeing, even though there are few tourist spots on Lombok. Location: 15 minutes by car from Lombok International Airport -------------- 2) Goa Bangkan You can explore caves with a guide. The best time to go is when the sun is shining in. Admission is 50,000 rupiah per person. Helmets and boots are available for free rental. There are many bats, and the smell of feces and urine is strong, so be careful if you are sensitive to this. Location: 10 minutes by car from Kuta Beach -------------- 3) Raya Kuta Street A street where restaurants in the Kuta area are gathered. A Balinese atmosphere. Many people get around by rental bike. Location: 25 minutes by car from Lombok International Airport -------------- 4) Kuta Beach A beach with fine round pebbles. It's also fun to stroll along the beach on a rental bike. Location: 5 minutes by car from Raya Kuta Street -------------- 5) Batu Bolong Temple A Hindu temple facing the sea. Many local believers gather here. Please note that women on their period are not allowed to enter. A little north of the provincial capital, Mataran. Location: Senggigi area, west of Lombok. 1 hour drive from Lombok International Airport. We stayed here while heading north to the Gili Islands. Room: Comes with a wooden deck leading to a courtyard full of greenery. Senggigi Beach spreads out beyond the courtyard. The room was clean, but the humidity was a bit of a concern. Basic amenities are provided. Food: There is a restaurant in the hotel. The Italian restaurant Lotus Bayview Restaurant is within walking distance of the beach and is delicious. 5 minutes walk. Breakfast: Buffet style. A wide variety of menu items. Service: Good service. Facilities: Pool, spa, Wi-Fi. Access: There are no convenience stores or shops nearby. It is best to arrange a car for the next day in advance. I negotiated with the driver I used on the way there. Although a ride-hailing app is available, there were no hits. Recommended points: Located halfway between Lombok International Airport and Gili Islands. Experienced massages for two days during a short trip to Lombok. The first day was at Qamboja Spa & Nail Bar in Qunci Villas Hotel. We chose the Aromatic massage. Qamboja is located in the hotel next door, so we went straight there and made a reservation. There are four kinds of essential oils to choose from. The sister who gave me the massage had just the right touch and the strength could be adjusted. It was so comfortable that I was about to fall asleep when the time was up. The prices and service details are transparent on the Internet, and the on-site service staff are very friendly. Although they have always wondered why we went to their hotel when our hotel also has massage services🤣🤣🤣. My brother was massaged by a man and he preferred the Mango Tree Spa at our second hotel, Sudamala Resort. The next day, after experiencing the scorching sun and snorkeling in the water, we made an appointment for a massage without hesitation. This time we decided to try the Cucumber wrap in our own restaurant. Wrap is to cover the body with cucumber paste after traditional massage. I remember there were kelp, traditional herbs, and aloe vera to choose from, each with different effects. In order to protect our red skin, we chose cucumber to cool it down. Mango Tree Spa also provides welcome drinks and ginger tea after the spa, and also has independent large rooms and bathroom facilities. However, they provide an extra step to clean your feet. I felt the massage was a bit stiff, and the eye cloth, which was mixed with essential oils, was a bit too irritating, so I had to ask her to remove it for me first. My hot body after the massage was immediately covered with super cold cucumber puree, and then my whole body was wrapped in cloth. I was shivering and hoping that time would pass quickly. I could hear my teeth chattering and my hair stood on end. The next day, my sunburned skin didn't hurt at all, all thanks to my endurance of the cold the day before! I like the elegance of Qamboja, and my brother likes the strength of Mango. The price and service content are comparable. Come experience Lombok massage if you have a chance~ It would be cool to have a massage that can improve jet lag!
