I began my journey in the heart of the city at Castello, the old fortified district perched atop a hill. Wandering through its narrow alleys lined with pastel-colored buildings, I discovered grand medieval towers, hidden courtyards, and panoramic terraces overlooking the shimmering sea. The Bastione di Saint Remy, with its sweeping views of the city and beyond, was the perfect spot to take in Cagliari’s timeless allure. Descending into the lively streets of Marina and Stampace, I soaked up the atmosphere of bustling piazzas, local markets, and inviting cafés. The grand Cagliari Cathedral stood as a testament to the city’s layered past, while the Roman Amphitheater, carved into the rock, whispered stories of a bygone era. As I ventured further, the call of the sea drew me toward Cagliari’s stunning coastline. Poetto Beach, with its long stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters, was the perfect escape.
