All Trip Moments about Pilok
Pilok-E-Tong
“Pilok” comes from the word “Phi Lok” which comes from the deaths from the massacre and jungle fever. In particular, during the opening of the mine, there was a clash between Thai police and Burmese workers because the Thai side forbade Burmese workers from selling minerals to the British. However, the Burmese workers defied the law, so there was a clash that resulted in many injuries and deaths. However, later the Burmese people mispronounced it as “Pilok”, which later became the name of the sub-district. The weather here is cool and refreshing all year round. It is suitable for coming to relax and recharge your batteries with the fresh air here. #VisitSecondaryCities

Budget 2 thousand, travel to Ban E Tong, Pilok, Kanchanaburi
Where to go to Ban E Tong?
2 days and 1 night is enough
📍Here are the coordinates 👇🏻
Ban E Tong
If you come on a holiday, I recommend booking your accommodation in advance.
The highlight of the village is the bridge with wooden signs hanging all over the bridge. This is a popular spot that you can't miss.
Pilok Mine
This village used to be a prosperous mine. Currently, there are still mines and tools for tourists to visit. We can walk from the village.
Ban E Tong Market
Don't miss out on food!!! In the village, there are restaurants, coffee shops, and a market for us to walk around and buy souvenirs.
Neun Chang Suk
A great viewpoint. See the beautiful sunrise and sunset✨ But when we went, it was raining heavily, so we saw fog instead. I recommend taking a local car because the road is rough. Taking your own car is not suitable. The pick-up point is in front of the village. (Right at the wooden sign bridge)
Jok Kradin Waterfall, Kanchanaburi
This is an area of Thong Pha Phum National Park. From the parking lot, walk to the waterfall for another 300 meters. The waterfall is very beautiful. The water is very clear. Don't miss this place! ‼️
💰Park entrance fee
Adults 40 baht / Children 20 baht
Cars 30 baht
Motorcycles 20 baht
(If you buy here, you can travel to other parts of the park.)

Miner's shop, delicious snacks
#Rainy season destinations When visiting Ban E Tong, you must come to this old-fashioned cake shop, "Chao Mueang Shop, Delicious Desserts" by Aunt Glen, located at the entrance of E Tong Village, opposite Pilok Police Station. The first bite was a big surprise 😍 because it's very difficult to find something like this. Homemade style cake
Old-fashioned, light but juicy with butter, not too sweet. Aunt Glen's cake recipe is a cake without margarine or preservatives. Eat it with hot, fragrant tea, very delicious.

The end of Thailand: Thai-Myanmar Friendship Border
The Thai-Myanmar Friendship Border is located in Pilok Subdistrict, Thong Pha Phum District, Kanchanaburi Province. It's not far from E-Tong Village, and you can either walk or drive there. There are strict rules and regulations here that must be followed. This area is along the gas pipeline from Myanmar, offering beautiful scenery. Today, it was very hot, so we couldn't fully enjoy the place. If you visit during the rainy season, it will be a different experience. I recommend coming here at least once.
E-Tong Village, Pilok Mine
Pilok Mine, which was once prosperous in the past, around 1940, a tin mine with 600 workers until the global price of minerals fell as a result of the price cut from China. Around 1984-1985, the glory of mining ended. Pilok, which was once prosperous, had a thriving market, and used to have 2 cinemas, but became quiet. The mines here gradually closed down. The workers began to return home and disperse. Currently, the main income of E-Tong Village is tourism. Homestay accommodations have now become a famous tourist attraction in Thong Pha Phum, Kanchanaburi Province. With the charm of the cool weather, covered with fog almost all year round, it is romantic and anyone who comes will fall in love. #Natural attractions
The air is
The air is good and the atmosphere is good. However, the accommodation has some inconveniences regarding electricity because it is used only for a short time. The food there is ordinary, mainly a la carte food. Overall, it is not that bad.
Pilok Mine and Jok Kradin Waterfall
During the rainy season in June, travel to Pilok Mine, the city of fog, feel the fresh air and be surrounded by lush green trees. It is refreshing and recharges your life energy.
The entrance to the clear koi pond is the Pilok Mine signboard, welcoming you with purple flowers. The clear pond allows you to see koi swimming and showing off their bodies, which is very attractive.
The Pilok village uses its own electricity from a generator.
Therefore, Pilok is a small village that still has a natural atmosphere and maintains its uniqueness, making people fascinated and come back to visit again and again.
On the way back, we stopped by Jok Kradin Waterfall, which is a waterfall that can be described as beautiful. The water is clear and the sunlight shimmers. The light green color of the water indicates the depth. Finally, if you come to Pilok, don't forget to stop by and see the beauty of Jok Na Din Waterfall.

Legendary cake shop in Pilok
This is a legendary cake shop that anyone who visits E-Tong, Pilok must not miss.
The shop is called "Chao Mueang Shop". It is a homemade cake shop that got its recipe from Aunt Glen, an Australian woman, the wife of Uncle Somsak, the owner of the mine. Aunt Glen's recipe was passed on to Uncle Charlie, who was Uncle Somsak's assistant since he was a miner.
It is a famous shop that anyone who visits must not miss.

Pilok village is wonderful with the Waterfalls, big lakes and it is the closest to the mountains and the quiet environment makes it a great place for adults to relax and learn about Thai traditions.
The most famous ones are the lock bridge, Nern Chang Suek, and Jokkrantan waterfall. They are not the main must-see places. After arriving in the village, it is good to plan the small places that Minmin mentioned in advance.

Visiting Bellok Village was a quiet experience filled with simplicity and natural beauty. The village is located in a mountainous area on the Thai-Burma border and is characterized by a truly rural character and calm atmosphere. The small streets and traditional houses create a cozy atmosphere perfect for exploring and walking. The nature surrounding the village is amazing and you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains and lakes. She enjoyed wandering through the fog that surrounded the area, which added a special charm to the visit. The locals were very friendly and added warmth to the experience. “Belok” is the perfect destination for nature lovers and those looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

It was another day that I felt very refreshed. It was the day we were going to travel to E-Tong-Pilok. On the way from Thong Pha Phum, we found a parking spot which is a viewpoint that I believe many people who come to Pilok must stop to see the view and take pictures here.
The day we went was a very refreshing day, cool and comfortable. The view in front of us was a large mountain stacked on top of each other, full of green trees, soaked with rain falling, along with the fog floating through the mountains, contrasting with the colors of the sky and trees, it was really good for the heart.

E-Tong – Pilok, no matter how many times you visit, you will fall in love.
Go out and experience the cold weather, walk amidst the mist and listen to the rain in a wonderful way. You can't miss E-Tong Village, Pilok Mine.
A small village with cold weather all the time, quiet and still maintaining the beauty of nature and culture very well. It is a village where many people come to relax and breathe fresh air here.
Not only can you walk, relax, take beautiful pictures in the village, there are also many important check-in points here, such as Pilok Mine, Friendship Viewpoint, and Chang Suk Hill Viewpoint, etc.
I recommend that anyone who comes here book a room early because the rooms here fill up very quickly, especially during holidays.
